Penelope Menchaca
Mexican television host and actress Penelope Menchaca was born on September 6th 1968 in Ciudad de México, Mexico.
Being the daughter of the director of The National Mexican Ballet Folklorica (Dolores Menchaca), Penelope naturally started out as a ballerina.
She then went on to join the singing group "Las Nenas" at the age of nineteen, where she was their lead singer for over ten years.
In 1999, Penelope and her two daughters moved to Los Angeles in 1999, and she became the host of Los Angeles en Vivo on KRCA Channel 62.
In 2004 she moved on to the TV show 12 Corazones (12 Hearts) a Spanish-language dating game TV show that's produced in the United States and airs on Telemundo .
In August 2009, 12 Corazones: Rumbo al Altar, a spin off of 12 Corazone started, with Penelope as the host. This show has six couples competing to win the grand prize of a dream wedding.
She has appeared on eighteen different TV shows and series since 1998.
In 2010, Penelope became an author when she released the book "El Arte Del Cuchiplancheo" ("The Art of the Horizontal Dance").
In August of 2011 Penelope was picked to be the host of "Minute To Win It" on Televisa.
